Account Manager

Your Next Move

As an Account Manager (officially titled Media Specialist ), you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of NZME customers across Hawke’s Bay, while actively seeking out new business opportunities.

This is a proactive sales role. You’ll enjoy picking up the phone, getting out into the market, building relationships and opening doors with new customers. Backed by NZME’s digital, print and audio portfolio, you’ll create tailored advertising solutions that help local businesses connect with their audiences.

How You'll Add Value

Sales & Account Growth

Build strong relationships with existing customers while actively prospecting for new business. Grow your portfolio, identify opportunities and deliver against sales targets.

Customer Solutions

Understand what your customers want to achieve and develop effective advertising solutions using NZME’s extensive range of products.

Self-Management

Own your sales pipeline, forecasting and CRM activity. Stay organised, proactive and focused on results.

Collaboration

Work closely with teams across NZME to deliver great campaigns and outcomes for your customers.

What You'll Bring To The Team

• 2–3 years’ experience in sales, business development or account management.
• A genuine sales mindset and confidence picking up the phone, prospecting and approaching new customers.
• A proven ability to meet sales targets and grow accounts.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach. You’re someone who goes looking for opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.
• A collaborative attitude and commercial mindset.
