Job title: CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator Location: Wakefield Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pm Friday: 8:00am 3:15pm Salary: ***** per hour (Dependent on Experience) Overview Our client are seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator to set up, programme and operate HAAS machining centres to manufacture high-quality precision components to specified tolerances.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects within a modern manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Set up, programme and operate HAAS 3-axis vertical machining centres (VF2 to VF9).
Manufacture precision component parts in accordance with engineering drawings and specified tolerances.
Carry out in-process inspection using appropriate measuring equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and workmanship.
Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required to support the production team.
Qualifications City Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (desirable).
Skills Experience Proven experience setting, programming and operating HAAS CNC milling machines.
Programming experience is highly advantageous.
Ability to use a range of precision inspection and measuring equipment.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
Ability to consistently produce components to tight tolerances.
Good awareness of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge and experience of 4th and 5th axis machining would be advantageous.
