About the Role We are excited to offer the opportunity of 1-3 part time or 1 part time and 1 full time role for experienced Hand Therapists to join our Outpatient Hand therapy, Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Advanced Clinical Practise (ACPP) Physiotherapy (Ortho) for CCHV District, working across Wellington Regional Hospital (WRH) and Kenepuru Community Hospital (KCH) and may work across our other sites if required. The Hand Therapist (Physiotherapist or Occupational therapist) in this role will assess and treat people of all ages with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions following injury, acute & elective surgery and those with progressive and chronic health conditions. The role may include input into orthopaedic clinics. The Therapist may mentor and support rotational staff and undergraduate students to support the development of clinical skills, as well as supporting colleagues in other clinical areas as the need arises. This position is an opportunity for an individual interested in delivering excellence as part of a team of highly skilled, highly motivated and supportive outpatient therapists. Experienced therapists in this team are involved in clinical based audits, research and District projects. We offer on-going professional development opportunities including a well established in-service programme, targeted team training and formal supervision About the Team/Service Location You will join a thriving, experienced and motivated outpatient Hand therapy, MSK & ACPP (Ortho) Physiotherapy team that work across 5 primary sites (including ?WRH, KCH, Kapiti Health Centre, Hutt Hospital, Upper Hutt clinic and multiple satellite sites (GP practices). The team are passionate about making a difference to the lives and function of their clients. About you You will be an experienced Hand Therapist (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) with a minimum of four years clinical experience, and at least two years working as a Hand Therapist. Ideally you will be a registered Hand Therapist, or working towards registration. You will thrive in a high paced environment where you are encouraged to work with autonomy. Ideally you will have experience working with ACC clients, as this makes up a portion of the clinical caseload of this role NZ Registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with current annual practicing certificate.
