The Company
One of NZ’s largest & most reputable property investment & funds management businesses. They manage a portfolio of property funds on behalf of investors and are known for a disciplined, business-partnering approach to finance.

The Role
Reporting to an impressive Financial Controller & as part of a high performing team, this role is responsible for the financial management & fund-level reporting for multi-asset and/or single asset property funds across New Zealand & Australia. This includes working closely with the asset management team to provide financial support.

Along with traditional accounting & reporting duties, the finance team is seen as a business partner and is involved in a wide range of initiatives working with the Group’s transactions, funds management, development, treasury, tax, and operations teams to deliver outcomes across acquisitions, divestments, and fund establishment.

Key responsibilities  

• Financial, management and board reporting
• Budgeting & forecasting
• Business Partnering with investment teams
• Feasibility for acquisitions & divestments
• Lead financial input on Product Disclosure Statements for capital raising
• Tax & treasury oversight & ownership
• Monitor cash flow & liquidity positions
• Staff leadership, mentoring & coaching
• Ad-hoc tasks as required by the business

About you

• CA/CPA qualified with proven experience in financial reporting focused roles
• Some exposure to FP&A, business partnering or treasury advantageous
• Property industry experience desirable
• Mix of professional services and corporate experience highly regarded
• Confident business partner, able to translate financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders
