Job Shop Fitter Turner/ Machinist - Full time role

For more than 50 years, We Can Precision Engineering has earned a strong reputation for solving complex problems and designing and manufacturing precision components, critical spares, and engineered parts and assemblies.

We’re looking for an experienced manual machinist to join the busy Job Shop team.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

· Strong manual machining skills across a broad range of equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, drills, saws,

and broaching). CNC experience is an advantage, but not essential.

· A positive, ‘We Can’ attitude.

· Relevant trade qualifications (Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Engineering) and the patience to support

and guide apprentices in the Job Shop.

You must be based in New Zealand and hold a current NZ work visa or residency.

This position sits within our manual machine shop, but you’ll also be part of a well-equipped CNC precision engineering business with capabilities including turning, milling, gear hobbing, CNC surface and cylindrical grinding, broaching, CMM inspection, wire cutting, multitasking, 5-axis CNC milling, and design.

Our work is varied across multiple industry sectors, and you’ll join a supportive team in our well-equipped premises in sunny Hawke’s Bay.
