We’re looking for an HR Business Analyst who is wanting to develop their career to join a forward-thinking HR team. About The Role As an HR Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in reviewing and improving end-to-end HR business processes to enhance service design and business outcomes. Working closely with a small team of system specialists, you’ll ensure usability and customer experience are embedded in everything we deliver. You’ll engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and co-develop solutions. From facilitating workshops to supporting implementation and adoption, you’ll be the bridge between business needs and technical solutions. To achieve this you’ll be performing the following tasks:
- Leading reviews of HR processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitating workshops and gathering insights from stakeholders.
- Translating business requirements into functional specifications.
- Collaborating with system specialists to design user-friendly solutions.
- Supporting testing, training, and implementation activities.
- Acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
- Proven experience in business analysis (min. 1 year)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, gather insights, and act as a trusted liaison between business and technical teams.
- Strong capability in reviewing and improving business processes to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Understanding of service design principles and user-centred approaches.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools, including SharePoint and MS Forms.
- Experience within HR/Payroll or related functions and in project environments would be highly regarded, however is not essential for consideration.
- A relevant qualification in Business, HR, or a related discipline is desirable, as is an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
