Test Lead | Kaiarataki Whakamātau

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Test Lead to join our project team on a fixed term basis until 30 June ****, based in our Christchurch office.
As a Test Lead you will be leading testing effort for our data product delivery on data platform ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
You will be working with a team of testers, coordinating testing activities and work closely with project managers to deliver exceptional product.
As a test lead, you'll contribute to:
* Developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and plans
* Lead and mentor a team of testers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and timely delivery of projects
* An ability to quickly learn about Stats NZ and relevant business processes, surveys and data
* Identify, track and manage defects using appropriate tools
* Conduct test reviews, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices
We are looking for motivated individual with:
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead role in complex, large scale ICT environment
* Strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools (eg. Python, Scala, Selenium)
* Experience in automating integration and regression tests
* Strong understanding of data management and application testing including highlighting any experience working with data platforms in a project
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Experience at self-management and a team player in an IT project or delivery environment
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Starting salary for this position: $97,270- $131,601 + kiwisaver
