If you would like to work in the great outdoors and assist the Farm Manager with the day-to day operations, this is your chance to join  Mount Cook Alpine Salmon  as a Farm Site Supervisor ! Our fish are growing fast, and so are we. Come and work with the friendly team to raise some of the world’s rarest and most premium Freshwater King Salmon. 

About the job  

You’ll work closely with the Farm Manager to make sure the day‑to‑day jobs on site get done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. With your help, the harvesting, maintenance, arrival of new stock, and administration will run smoothly. You’ll be involved in Fish Management, Training and Recruitment, Health and Safety, Equipment Management, and Financial responsibilities. It’s hands-on role with a lot of variety.

We deliver sustainably farmed, premium-quality Freshwater King Salmon to customers in New Zealand and around the world. Our product is extraordinary and rare: we are the only company that exports Freshwater King Salmon. Our team of over 200 are spread across the South Island at our farms in Twizel, our processing plant in Timaru, our smokehouse in Christchurch and our corporate office in Queenstown.

What you’ll bring  

  • Ability to lead by example and support a positive workplace culture
  • The right to work in NZ 
  • A full or restricted NZ driver’s license (class 1), and a forklift license is preferred
  • More than 2 years’ experience in aquaculture farming and experience in leadership is desirable
  • Aquaculture qualification is a bonus but not essential
