Fitter Welder

Join a well-established South Auckland operation where your welding, fitting, and maintenance skills will be put to work on critical plant equipment and machinery.
This is a varied, hands-on role offering a mix of preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, fabrication, and mechanical fitting work in a busy industrial environment.
If you're a trade-qualified Fitter Welder who enjoys fault-finding, precision work, and keeping production equipment running at its best, we'd like to hear from you.

Location: South Auckland
Pay rate: $35–$36 per hour | Weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery
  • Dismantling, inspecting, and reassembling conveyors and rotating equipment
  • Precision fitting, turning, and machining components to required tolerances
  • Performing welding and fabrication repairs using TIG, MIG, and Stick processes
  • Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing repairs
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Following maintenance schedules and completing service documentation accurately
  • Promoting and maintaining safe work practices on site
What We're Looking For
  • Level 4 Trade Certificate in Engineering, Fitting & Turning, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • Proven experience in welding, fitting, and turning
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
  • Competency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
