About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Consultant
Psychiatrists to join our East Adult Community Mental Health Team in
Christchurch.

Working within our integrated Adult General Mental
Health Service, you will provide specialist assessment and treatment for adults

community-based care, crisis response, inpatient collaboration and ongoing
recovery-focused treatment, allowing you to develop meaningful therapeutic
relationships while making a genuine difference in people's lives.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key leadership
role within an experienced multidisciplinary team, contributing your specialist
expertise while helping to shape service development, quality improvement
initiatives and models of care.

About the Team | Service | Location
The East Adult Community Mental Health Team is part of
Specialist Mental Health Services within Waitaha Canterbury and provides
comprehensive assessment, treatment and ongoing support for adults with
moderate to severe mental illness.
You will be joining a highly experienced multidisciplinary
team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists,
social workers and allied health professionals who work together to provide
person-centred, evidence-based care.

About You
You will be passionate about delivering high-quality mental
health care and enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary
environment.
You will have:
* Vocational
registration (or eligibility for vocational registration) with the Medical
Council of New Zealand in Psychiatry.
* Fellowship
with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
(RANZCP) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
* Experience
working across Adult Mental Health services, including community,
inpatient, crisis or rehabilitation settings.
* Excellent
communication skills and a collaborative, recovery-focused approach to
patient care.
* A
commitment to clinical excellence, continuous improvement and equitable
