Guest Service Agent - Twizel

Distinction Mackenzie Country Hotel is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Guest Service Agent (GSA) to join our team.
This role is for our summer season from 1 October **** to 31 May ****.
Position Overview
As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the welcoming face of our hotel.
Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, efficiently assisting in the F&B department, and assisting guests with luggage & enquiries to ensure their stay is seamless and memorable.
This is a physical role that involves bending, lifting, and being on your feet throughout the day.
This position will be a minimum of 30 plus hours per week and will pay between $25 - $28 per hour based on experience.
Job Description & Key Requirements
Previous experience in a reception, portering, or customer service role would be an advantage.
Strong communication skills.
A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
Flexibility to work on a rostered basis, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Well‐presented, reliable, and proactive in your approach to the job.
Previous experience with Guest Centrix or a similar property management system is required.
Checking in and out of guests and presenting their bills for payment.
Reservations – receiving booking requests and entering them into the PMS with accuracy.
Preparing for group arrivals, entering rooming lists and preparing accounts for pre‐payment.
Ability to assist other departments when required.
Deal professionally with customer enquiries and complaints.
