Data Analyst (Fixed-Term Contract)
We are seeking a pragmatic Data Analyst for an initial 6‐month fixed‐term contract.
This is a "business-first" data role where the focus is on speed of delivery ****** rule) and stakeholder engagement rather than deep technical development.
You will bridge the gap between complex data integrations and actionable business insights within a dynamic Auckland landscape.
Role Details
Term: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with potential for extension)
Engagement: Pro-rata salary (Fixed-term payroll)
Location: Auckland (Hybrid)
About the Role
Reporting & Visualisation: Develop impactful reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to drive business value.
Data Integration: Work on events data integrations and reporting, leveraging SQL skills to ensure seamless data flow.
Data Quality: Identify data quality issues and collaborate with the business to implement prioritised, value‐based improvements.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the face of data, hosting workshops and gathering requirements from a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Pragmatic Delivery: Focus on delivering quick wins and minimising scope creep to maintain high‐velocity delivery.
Skills & Experience Required
Hybrid Profile: Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a strong Business Analysis background (or vice versa).
Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Business Analysis: Skilled in gathering requirements, journey mapping, and facilitating business sessions.
Communication: Exceptional engagement skills with the ability to translate data concepts for the business.
Local Context: Experience navigating complex Auckland-based public or commercial environments is highly regarded.
