Service Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Service Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying opportunities for the development of new service applications, equipment and methods;
- Supporting outstation service job role – long term or short term;
- Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently;
- Identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories;
- Supporting project team on projects whenever needed;
- Preparing the tools, equipment and parts needed for a service job and understand the scope of the job to be performed;
- Handling Technical inquiries (Failures & technical questions);
- Executing a pre risk assessment on site, briefing with crew member on ongoing other activities and instruction for board equipment;
- Spare Parts sales;
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions;
- Directly reporting to the Service & Parts Manager;
- Warranty Claims (Mitsubishi Generator set, Diesel engines & Marine Engines);
- Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines;
- Investigation and making technical reports (Mitsubishi Generator set, Diesel engines & Marine Engines);
- Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews.
