Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate verifies the inventory quantity and assists in inventory level maintenance. Has overall responsibility for receiving and moving materials within warehouse. Being a Warehouse Associate operates warehouse equipment in a safe manner. Maintains complete paperwork. In addition, Warehouse Associate may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. May require a certification to operate equipment. Being a Warehouse Associate possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Shipping, receiving and inventory control;
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times;
  • Assist with assembly / staging and tear down of fragile hardware and electronic equipment in a test environment;
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop.

Requirements:

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Previous working experience as a Warehouse Worker for (x) years;
  • College Graduate or Vocational Graduate;
  • Problem-solver;
  • Forklift Operation Certification will be considered an advantage;
  • Great physical stamina and manual dexterity;
  • Solid communication skills and inventory skills;
  • Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment;
  • Proven work experience in a warehouse setting;
  • Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs;
  • Good organizational and time management skills;
  • Team Player;
  • Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for the work; ability to lift or move at least 40 lbs;
  • Valid Drivers license;
  • Ability to skilfully and safely operate a forklift is a plus.
