DevOps Support Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a DevOps Support Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the adoption of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, and Agile best practices, processes, and tools;
- Occasional after hours support;
- Scripting and automation of manual tasks;
- Pilot new technology implementations;
- Build and release Maintenance and optimization of software build & release process;
- Support, maintenance and monitoring of DevOps related environments;
- Research new tools, technologies and best practice.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of scripting experience in BASH / KSH;
- Sound understanding of Agile Methods;
- Maven / Ant / Make or similar;
- DB2;
- Opsview or similar monitoring tools;
- Exposure to cloud computing;
- Prior experience in an enterprise IT or development environment;
- 2+ years of enterprise software development experience or 2+ years of DevOps experience;
- Understanding of Networks and security;
- Relevant IT Degree or Diploma;
- Relational databases;
- Ansible or similar configuration management tools;
- Jenkins / Hudson / Bamboo / Travis CI or similar;
- Jython / Groovy / Java;
- 2+ years of experience in Linux based operating systems.
