Install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists. May administer network security measures.

Our company is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and have weekly implementation call with a new hotel to keep them updated with regards to the progress of the implementation;
  • To ensure that the group’s intranet is 100% operational and to co-ordinate all development items and errors as required;
  • Setup, manage and conduct yearly system training schedule with hotels;
  • Attend weekly meetings with suppliers and meeting minutes to be taken;
  • To attend online webinar meetings or off-site system and industry-related meetings;
  • Assist hotel representatives in updating the intranet where necessary;
  • SAP HANA, etc;
  • Be a support for all member properties regarding any matter of the SynXis system during weekdays as well as weekends and after hours;
  • Ensure licenses and agreements are updated, renewed and properly projected and allocated;
  • Work closely with Development in order to fix problems with products in the field;
  • Perform maintenance on DHCP. DNS (Bind), Proxy (Squid), Switches and Routers;
  • VPN Connectivity;
  • Attend monthly director’s meetings;
  • Maintain a local APT & Custom software repository;
  • Research and development on products for product development.

Requirements:

  • Computer System Administration;
  • Active Directory;
  • Knowledge in Database Administration;
  • Post Matric Certificate/ Diploma in MCSA qualification (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator);
  • Must be able to work independently and adhere to deadlines and strict turnaround times;
  • Python;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field;
  • At least two years of hands-on system experience and in the following; Windows Servers/Services;
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE);
  • Group Policies and OUs;
  • Knowledgeable on Basic Network terms and network infrastructure;
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Office Administration or equivalent;
  • Computer Literacy / Basic Computer Skills;
  • Have 3-5 years of experience/expertise in Server Configuration, Management Tasks and System Administration;
  • Servers, Operating System, Hardware, LAN/WAN, and Wireless devices.
