Radiologic Technologist

Radiologic Technologist arranges patients for radiological examinations. Produces diagnostic radiological examinations to aid in the diagnosis of disease. Being a Radiologic Technologist prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Performs portable X-ray examinations. Additionally, Radiologic Technologist develops exposed X-ray film. Performs administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, patient instructions, film-filing, and maintenance of records. Requires registration as a technologist by the ARRT. Requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T. Our company is looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows same procedure to operate mobile x-ray equipment in the operating room, emergency room or at bedside;
  • Assists in performing first aid as necessary;
  • May specialize in taking x-rays of such specific areas of the body as chest, gastrointestinal, orthopedic or dental;
  • Prepares and maintains records and file as directed;
  • Develops film by automatic and manual processing;
  • Cleans and makes minor adjustments to equipment;
  • Selects proper film and inserts into holder;
  • Places exposed film and patient’s identification slip into wall safe for processing by darkroom assistant;
  • Observes patient and machine during treatment;
  • Steps behind protective enclosure and flip switch to activate machine which automatically cutoff at end of present exposure time;
  • Repeats exposure procedure from slightly different angles as prescribed by physician.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology;
  • Relationship Management;
  • Record keeping;
  • With relevant experience is a plus;
  • Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications;
  • Willing to work in Diagnostic Center;
  • Complex problem-solving;
  • Medical Industry Knowledge;
  • PRC License – Radiologist is a must;
