Our company is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining stock and inventory;
- Running diagnostic tests on the construction machinery and vehicles;
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the work environment;
- Replacing construction machinery parts, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems;
- Checking vehicles and machinery for damaged parts;
- Maintaining records of parts and services;
- Test driving construction vehicles.
Requirements:
- Experience with maintaining, repairing and servicing trucks / tankers;
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience;
- Experience maintaining log books and expenditure records;
- No qualifications or trade test required but solid experience is essential;
- Excellent verbal and written English skills;
- Valid Drivers license;
- Matric;
- Ability to complete service reports;
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the heavy automotive industry;
- Candidates must have at least Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate;
- Qualification as a diesel or automotive mechanic or relevant trade;
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems;
- Minimum of 3 years’ operational basic Diesel Mechanic experience post qualifying as artisan;
- Minimum of two (2) years’ operational Earthmoving Equipment experience (Essential);
- Minimum of N3 Theoretical Engineering Certificate (Diesel Mechanic).
