Our company is looking for a Purchasing Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting of data required for review in quarterly supplier review meetings;
  • Partake in projects as requested by the department head;
  • Promote continuous improvement to ensure that the best solutions for the customer are delivered in the most cost-effective and efficient manner;
  • Support the purchasing function via the undertaking of tasks assigned by the purchasing team lead or in the team rota schedule;
  • Ensure compliance to procedures – physical activities must mirror the documented SOP or WI;
  • Ensure conformance to ISO13485 concerning the process and document control procedures as stated in the quality management system;
  • Purchase order generation and placement to suppliers;
  • Recording and execution of associated actions relating to any supplier-related incidents that arise;
  • Review and maintain planning and purchasing contingencies to ensure the continued supply of product/services to our customers (internal and external);
  • Fully understand how the activities and processes within the purchasing function link to overall Tier Metrics and Organization metrics.

Requirements:

  • Self-starter possessing flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment;
  • Must be willing to do field work;
  • With proficient MS Excel working knowledge required;
  • Highly interpersonal; can interact with all management levels;
  • Resourceful;
  • Customer focus/Interpersonal skills;
  • College graduate of any 4yr course. Graduate of Information Tech an advantage;
  • Computer Literacy / Basic Computer Skills;
  • Can handle pressure and can work with limited supervision;
  • Experience in the use of such systems to communicate requirements to vendors and manage inventories globally is highly desirable;
  • Report preparation skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential;
  • Knowledge of product and service, purchasing policies and practices;
  • Positive attitude and a team player with a high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm;
  • Business Analysis.
