About the job:

We are looking for a passionate, forward-thinking production animal veterinarian who has a progressive evidence-based approach to their work. For the right candidate this role will be dairy focussed, and we want you to feel supported by our team and confident to deliver excellence to our clients.

We operate a mixed practice after-hours roster which is shared across our veterinary team to ensure this is not onerous.

Remuneration is competitive and negotiable, based upon experience, skill set, and ability.

As you would expect of rural New Zealand, we have a significant farm animal and companion animal client base, and our team of vets comprise those with a mixed role and those who focus solely on their area of interest.

Over the years, this has resulted in the development of expertise in areas such as small animal reproduction, orthopaedics, emergency medicine, sheep AI, acupuncture, cattle nutrition, and membership in dairy cattle medicine. We value continued learning and find it rewarding helping our clients.

Mentorship is available and actively encouraged. Our afterhours roster is minimal and varies with seasonal demands.
