Hours: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

Job specific information

This role offers you an exciting opportunity to become involved in providing leadership to the Tairawhiti and Hawkes Bay branches. This position involves relationship building, support and administration, along with leading a team of service staff who provide support services, information, and advocacy for both disabled people and their family/whānau. You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, compassion, and respect for one another.

About the Role:

Provide effective leadership and supervision to staff.
Drive quality improvement activities and contributes to regional planning.
Contribute to the region’s strategic/business planning, and lead implementation of agreed organisational change.
Lead and coordinate high quality services that are creative, flexible, and responsive to the needs of disabled people and their families/whānau; and
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with disability community groups and governance.

About you:

You will understand person and family directed planning and community development concepts.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
You have team leadership experience or can provide relevant examples that highlight these skills.
You hold a relevant qualification in Social Services or Human Services or equivalent qualification and/or work experience; and
You may have experience working in a social services agency. Working with disabled children/youth/adults, their families/whānau and significant others would be advantageous.
