About the Role
This is an opportunity to support specialist projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and dairy sectors and be instrumental in maintaining a high-performing, supportive environment for employees, apprentices, contractors and clients. You’ll ensure safety culture is strong at every level.

Key Responsibilities:
Further develop and monitor existing H&S policies and processes in line with regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, conduct audits, site inspections, and risk assessments.
Champion apprentice safety, development, and workplace mentoring.
Deliver H&S training programs and coordinate competency tracking.
Lead investigations into incidents and near misses, providing thorough reporting and corrective actions.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including Directors, Managers, and industry bodies.
Introduce innovative, practical safety solutions to enhance operational performance.

Key Requirements:
Health and safety qualification e.g. Level 4 Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety, NEBOSH, or equivalent
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the trades, construction or the contracting industry
Strong knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation
Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
Experience in incident investigation, hazard identification and risk management
Proficiency with safety management systems and reporting tools
A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
