The Lake Rotoaira Forest Trust (LRFT) is a Maori Authority that represents the interests of landowners in 85 separate Maori land titles located around the shores of Lake Rotoaira, Otamangakau and the upper Whanganui Basin.

About this role

The Chief Executive of LRFT is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operations, and sustainable management of the trust's assets.

About you:

You will be a proven senior leader, with demonstrated experience in developing and leading high performing teams within a Māori environment.
You will have had extensive experience in growing and nurturing strong relationships and partnerships, you are innovative, and can think critically.
You will be financially competent, have experience in developing and delivering to strategic plans, and working with a governing body.

Key skill sets required also include:

a relevant tertiary qualification
at least 10 years’ experience in senior management roles
demonstrated ability to work successfully with multiple stakeholders
the ability to translate Maori knowledge and information in the commercial environment
