Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.

his role is contributing to the Power Protection product group in Napier. As Quality Specialist you will encourage and support a quality culture, by promoting ABB quality management systems, processes, tools and methodologies to delight customers while ensuring sustainable operations.

You will be mainly accountable for:

- Analysis of non-conformance data to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
Support and maintain the ABB Quality Management System of the local unit to international standards.
Assisting in identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization.
Coordination of actions to resolve non-conformances and mitigate risks. •Use data analytics tools from the organization to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances.
Facilitating resolution of customer cases by following a robust root cause analysis methodology to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications for the role

You enjoy working with current industry quality management tools and methodologies in the Power Electronic products market.
You have Lean Six Sigma training or have willingness to learn, and advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
You are innovative around producing clear and accurate reports and effective collaboration and trust-building within organizations
Proven experience of Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
You are at ease communicating in English.
