About Our Family
We are an easy going family of 4 living a fast paced life in Rangiora. We are looking for a Nanny to look after our son and daughter (7 and 5) on a part time permanent basis with the option to take on additional hours by mutual agreement.
Our son has Autism, to you this will look like an intelligent wee guy who has cool key interests and is very rules oriented, finding comfort in routines and fairness.
Our daughter has just started school so is also finding comfort in routine and loving this next step in her life. She loves being the youngest and will tell you all about a topic that she knows nothing about.

The Role
We are looking for 3 mornings (7am-9am) per week. Monday is a definite need but the other two are up for negotiation to suit your schedule.
Ideally we would like to be able to call on you for occasional babysitting as well, by mutual agreement, so that we can go out for a child free dinner and unwind.
We are flexible to cater for unavailability and changes of timetable around exam time etc.

Duties will include:

Getting breakfast ready and overseeing morning routine (dressed, teeth, hair etc)
Packing lunches from our pantry
Dropping them off at school and settling the youngest.
Light household tasks - fill/empty dishwasher, load washing/dryer etc. (We have a cleaner so we are just asking for the small daily light tasks)

Applicants must have

Previous experience in childcare/baby sitting
The school is within walking distance of our house so if you wish you may walk with the kids but a full license and vehicle is a must just in case a vehicle pick up is ever needed due to weather etc.
Must be friendly, outgoing and good with the kids, the ability to fit in with our routines and home life would be great.

Payrate
We are happy to negotiate in the range of $25-$28 depending on experience.

If you like the sound of this and you are also keen to take over the cleaning as well, we currently have a cleaner for 4hrs a week and would happily merge the two roles (Nanny/Cleaner) to make the role more attractive to you. (More hours for less travel costs).
