To support our facilities and operations kaupapa, we are searching for a Facilities Operations Coordinator.

Location : Hawkes Bay Campus
Team: EIT Facilities Team
Arrangement: Full-Time, permanent
Reporting to: Facilities Manager

The Facilities Operations Coordinator plays a key role in keeping our campuses running smoothly - supervising maintenance, fleet and security operations, and supporting a safe, efficient learning environment. This role contributes to the overall success of EIT through ensuring facilities meet statutory and operational standards, supporting staff and contractors, and enhancing the experience of ākonga and staff across our Hawke’s Bay sites.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Proven leadership and project management skills
Strong communication, organisational, and admin skills
Experience in facilities management and working with contractors
High-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance systems
A relevant trade qualification (highly desirable)

You’ll also bring:

Experience (or clear knowledge of) upholding and advancing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your mahi
Experience (or clear knowledge of) upholding and advancing ākonga success, wellbeing and experience
Experience (or clear knowledge of) supporting equity, inclusion and recognition, particularly for Māori, Pacific, and disabled ākonga and their whānau
An understanding of the role of vocational education and training in meeting the needs of our regional communities, employers and industries
Proven ability to work collaboratively in kaupapa-driven environments, building strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders
A growth mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and reflective practice
