GENERAL PRACTICE SOLICITOR - FULL TIME POSITION
We are looking to employ a solicitor to join our medium sized Invercargill based general practice firm.

The Position
We have a full time position available for a general practice lawyer or a graduate wanting general practice experience. The role will suit those wanting to enhance their career with interesting and varied legal work and exposure to client interactions right from the outset. Applicants with an interest in property, trust and commercial law may be preferred but is not essential.

You will be mentored by the Firm’s partners, and with appropriate supervision, will be encouraged to manage files and clients autonomously from the beginning.

Salary
A Competitive Remuneration package will be offered relevant to your level of experience.

About You
In addition to a successfully completed law degree, and preferably bar admission prior to commencing employment, you will need to have:

a strong work ethic
excellent time management skills
superior written and verbal communication skills
great legal research skills ideally with some familiarity with Westlaw
an ability to build rapport with others
a willingness to learn
ability to work independently (under supervision) and
a positive and enthusiastic attitude

A passion for life in the South is also important.
