About the role

Our procurement team is looking for a self-motivated individual who will nurture relationships with internal business units, ensuring procurement, supply chain and logistics related processes align with LPC's plans. We are on the hunt for someone, who will imbed and champion a value chain function for the company, using an internal customer and supplier partnering approach, to ensure the business has the right goods and services, at the right time, in the right place, for the right prices.

This is a dynamic role, where flexibility will be required, as some weeks you will be rushed off your feet, but other times you will be able to work from home to complete business as usual tasks such as administration, updating supplier information, price lists data and maintaining our supplier purchasing agreements with relevant contract details.

We're embarking on an upgrade of our enterprise software. You'll be taking a collaborative and supporting role to ensure supplier data is updated, and linked correctly to other tables ensuring a smooth transition and increased functionality from the applications that drive our business.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be a service and administration champion, who takes pride in building long lasting external and internal relationships.

About you
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

NCEA level 3 qualification or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year Experience in Procurement (sourcing, negotiation, contracting, benchmarking and supplier performance reviews).
Experience with integrated procurement, purchasing, planning and inventory modules of enterprise application i.e M3, Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics).
Experience in Supply Chain and logistics is preferred.
Able to work autonomously from either the office or from home.
Strong sense of initiative, with the ability to prioritise workflows.
Proven track record in using computer software and applications (MS Office Suite)

Other strongly desirable skills:

Prior working knowledge within the Procurement practices.
Experience within the transport/logistics/shipping industry.
