Your Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our Dulux Trade Centre in New Plymouth. This exciting opportunity is a part time (25 hours), permanent position that will see you working Monday - Friday and some rostered Saturday mornings.
We’re looking for a hard worker who is comfortable with heavy lifting, warehouse tasks, and handling plaster equipment—including heavy bags.
This role requires physical strength, reliability, and a willingness to get hands and elbows dirty. If you’ve got a great work ethic and can handle the demands of a fast-paced environment we'd love to hear from you!
Forklift or Walkie Stacker experience preferred but training can be given.
Responsibilities Will Include
Develop strong working relationships with depot/agencies
Ensure high levels of customer service are maintained
Cash handling / EFTPOS
Accurately mix and tint paint
Assist in maintaining stock levels
Comply with safety standards

Skills And Experience
You are confident with people, have great communication skills and can easily build strong relationships with peers, customers, clients etc. You are able to demonstrate a level of physical ability to work with our paint and other heavy products in store at times. In addition, you will bring to the role:
Paint product and application/ hardware experience will be highly regarded but not essential
Have the ability to communicate clearly with customers
Enjoy building relationships with customers and colleagues
Confident and outgoing personality
