We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Operative to join our Rolleston team. This hands-on role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient flow of materials and finished goods through our warehouse, supporting uninterrupted production and on-time delivery to our customers.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods with accuracy and care. You will maintain clean and organised storage areas, uphold health and safety standards, and help ensure our warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently every day. You will also have the opportunity to support stock counts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that help Spex deliver world-class products.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect and store inbound stock promptly and accurately
Pick, pack and dispatch customer and production orders in full and on time
Maintain FIFO rotation and ensure clear, accurate stock labelling
Keep storage areas clean, tidy and safe at all times
Monitor and replenish inventory triggers to prevent production delays
Support cycle counts and full stocktakes
Complete warehouse paperwork and system entries accurately
Follow all health and safety procedures, including daily equipment checks
Contribute positively to team meetings and continuous improvement

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Organised, dependable and proactive
Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and time management
Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
A team player who communicates well with peers and supervisors
Committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards
Familiar with warehouse operations and basic computer systems (experience with ERP systems and MS Office is an advantage)
