The iconic Zealong Tea Estate presents you with a rare opportunity to join our hospitality team as a waitstaff for our award-winning restaurant and events centre.

Offering stunning views, a variety of function venues, public activities and tours, our multi-talented team is dedicated to creating an extraordinary guest experience for every visitor who visit our Tea Estate.

An exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and reliable to join a our ever growing team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in the hospitality industry and are hoping that someone is YOU! We have day and evening shifts available so we might be able to offer you hours to suit. This could potentially be the job you hold on to throughout studies, so in that sense, preference will be given to those based in Hamilton. You must be able to work weekends and on some weekdays. The successful candidate will be someone based in or around Hamilton and must be available to work throughout our busiest season from December to February.

Tasks and duties include:

Serving customers and taking orders
Representing us by presenting the best of you
Clearing tables
Taking food and drinks to tables
Setting up the Tearoom or the events centre in the morning
Cleaning up at the end of the day
Payments either by cash or EFTPOS
Server duties on events

Working hours are flexible however it would be an advantage if you can work on weekends. In your cover letter and/or your email, please state your availability based on your current schedule.

If you speak more than one language, that will be a big advantage to your application!

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Ideally, a candidate that lives in the Hamilton/Waikato area would be ideal for this role as the employment for this role could be available throughout the year.
