Our company is looking for a Teacher – English to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop stable, solid relationships with students with appropriate boundaries so they know you are available to help them when they need it;
- Teach several different classes of students;
- Promote parent/teacher/student associations and encourage students and their guardians to get involved in the community and in the school;
- Attend special events held by the school and engage with students and their parents in an appropriate, friendly way;
- Attend weekly staff meetings to address unique situations or problems with individual students so you can adapt your lesson plans to meet their needs;
- Track and report performance data to determine where changes need to be made and which strategies and methods are working;
- Marking of exams related to their subject matter in accordance with the schedule and material provided by the department;
- Plan and deliver lessons that provide active learning experiences and build the 21st century skills;
- Communicate effectively to all stakeholders including parents;
- Providing support by invigilating exams as needed in an adequate and properly managed exam environment;
- Assess students effectively through formative (including AfL) and summative assessment;
- Providing support for the academically low performing students, to help improve and get motivated to reach their potential;
- Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the school SABIS ®management;
- Provide pastoral care and build student’s character;
- Discussing disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and head of department (HOD) as needed.
Requirements:
- Professional teaching qualification preferred;
- Egyptians only;
- ICT competencies to deliver teaching and learning resources;
- IELTS with minimum score 7 for academic and 7.5 for general;
- More than 3 years experience as a teacher to grades from 2 to 12 or primary levels;
- Proficient in spoken and written English;
- Degree in relevant subject areas;
- Ability to teach using active learning methodologies to promote student-centred learning;
- Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent;
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject;
- English Proficient / Native English Speaker (depending on subject);
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience;
- Ability to work within a team;
- MS Office needed components;
- Communication skills.
