Technical Sales Representative Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Canvas for new customers;
- Conduct at all times to be such as to promote the image of the Company;
- Provide technical assistance to clients or colleagues as and when required;
- Travelling on a daily basis;
- Monitor all orders to ensure that delivery times are met and ensure service levels are maintained;
- To achieve mutually agreed sales targets and to provide sales forecasts on a monthly basis or as requested;
- Acquiring new business relationships;
- Preparation of quotations, call reports (to be provided on a weekly basis) and call plans;
- Liaise with principals to ensure that products quoted/supplied to customers are commercially/technically correct;
- Calling on existing customers as directed, on a regular basis, in order to maintain and build on existing business;
- Meeting Sales Targets.
Requirements:
- Technical Sales background with at least 2 references;
- Min. 3 years’ relevant sales experience in valves/ associated equipment;
- Matric Certificate or Equivalent;
- Fluent (Written and Verbal) in English and Afrikaans. A third language would be an advantage;
- Demostrated technical background with at least 2 references;
- Driver’s License;
- Computer literate in Windows environment;
- Proven sales track record;
- Excellent knowledge of the surrounding areas;
- High proficiency in both written and oral English;
- Sales come with commissions;
- Minimum of 3 years experience sales;
- A graduate of BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Nutrition & Dietetics, Food Technologist, Biology, or similar course;
- Meticulous, energetic, systematic, self-driven, and able to work with minimum supervision;
- Can Drive a Car.
